Optical component coherence reflectometer
WebInsideView(TM) is an optical coherence domain reflectometer (OCDR- 1000) designed to obtain space-resolved reflection information inside a fiber optical component, such as a Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC), for diagnosing quality or design issues. WebThis method utilizes the coherence effects exhibited by a broadband optical source and is referred to as optical coherence-domain reflectometry. Background theory is given, and …

Webline for rapid scanning low-coherence reflectometer. In the optical delay line, a retro-reflector and a reflection mirror were integrated in an aluminum jig. A galvanometer was used to drive the scanning mirror as a scanning component which performed a scanning rate of 400 Hz in our system. The size of the optical delay line is within 2 cm × 2 cm.
WebInsideView TM is an optical coherence domain reflectometer (OCDR-1000) designed to obtain space-resolved reflection information inside a fiber optical component, such as a Photonics Integrated Circuit (PIC), for diagnosing quality or design issues. It is based on a polarization optimized white light interferometer proprietary to General Photonics. WebWe describe a new optical low-coherence reflectometer for depth and lateral scanning without moving parts. The reflectometer covers a range of 0.4 and 1 mm in the depth and lateral dimensions, respectively. This level was accomplished by an acousto-optic deflector for lateral scanning and temporal-coherence gating for depth resolution.
