I've "held" it and pressed A to interact with the pedestal, I've dropped the pendant and moved it to rest on the pedestal, I've worn the pendant and then interacted with the pedestal... WebOfficial Dark Hand of the Dark Souls 2 message board. Go into your inventory, select the pendant and pick the "Throw" option. Then put the pendants on top of the pedestals. The shields won't drop until both are placed on the correct pedestal. After you drop the shields you can pick the pendants back up and pocket them.
