WebBomberger's Distillery was one of the oldest in the country known for PA Rye Whiskey starting in the 1750's. Dick Stoll was a prior master distiller of the Michter's and A. J. Hirsch brands and when he retired to Lititz, PA he joined a micro distillery enterprise that tried to reinvigorate the Bomberger name and some similar PA Rye recipes. WebMar 4, 2014 · The US1 Sour Mash is bottled at 86 proof (43% abv). It’s a good addition to one’s whiskey collection, and makes for a great option as part of a bourbon based cocktail or to have on its own. That blend of bourbon corn and oak sweetness tempered by a high rye content makes for a versatile whiskey that can suit many a mood.
